About us

Welcome to the Japan Canada Student Association [JCSA] of the University of Toronto (UofT). Since 1985 we have provided UofT students and others of the Toronto Community with the opportunity to exchange and study Japanese and English in a real, yet comfortable learning environment.

Many of our members are Working-Holiday-Visa Students from Japan; former UofT students who have been to Japan; those who want to come in and brush up on their language skills; non-students studying Japanese, and of course, UofT students who study Japanese!! In addition to language, we also promote cultural exchange and foster relations between Canada and Japan.

We are not a school

We are a student group in a University. Your learning experience depends entirely on what you put into it. You are your own teacher so we encourage to ask many questions and have an open mind! JCSA is not a school of English or Japanese, but merely a location for you, the “student”, to let you concentrate and encourage you to learn a language and find good friends to share your Japan/Canada experience or interest.

トロント大学のJCSAは生徒と地域の人々とに1985年からLanguage Exchangeをすることができるように居心地の良い場所を提供して参りました。

JCSAと言う組織では大学の生徒だけではなく、日本からのWorking Holiday Visaで勉強している人と、元トロント大学の生徒と、語学力を高めたい人や、ただ日本語英語を学びたい人が集まって活動しております。

JCSAと言うのはトロント大学の組織です。語学力が伸びるがどうかは自分の努力次第です。JCSAは語学学校でわありませんが、皆さんの勉強のお手伝いをさせていただいております。
